According to the statement, the ban applies to all DJs working under the association’s umbrella, regardless of whether they are based in Nigeria or represent the industry internationally.

The move was taken after a clip of a fight between Burna Boy and a Nigerian DJ known as Dj Tunez went viral.

In a statement, the Nigerian DJ Association said, “Burna Boy’s music has been temporarily removed from our DJ playlists until further notice. Our team will conduct a thorough investigation into last night’s incident involving one of our members, DJ Tunez. We urge all DJs in Nigeria to be vigilant and show respect to all artists—male and female—at their various events.”
