Two world-famous rooftoppers, Angela Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov, have been arrested in New York City, USA after they secretly climbed to the top of the 443-meter-tall Empire State Building.
According to reports from the New York Police Department (NYPD) and international media, the pair managed to reach the top of the building without permission where they raised a banner with a peace message that said: “When the power of love beats the love of power, the world knows peace.”
After the incident, Ivan put an engagement ring on Angela at the very top of the building, an event that was recorded and later shared on social media and caused a huge debate about the dangers of their actions.
Angela Nikolau and Ivan Kuznetsov are known worldwide for climbing tall buildings without safety equipment.
After descending from the top of the building, they were arrested by the Police and charged with entering an unauthorized area, endangering public safety and committing acts that cause danger.
