David Jonsson, star of The Long Walk, Rye Lane and Alien Romulus, has been cast as TChalla II, the son of the late TChalla, in Black Panther III.
The announcement was made by the film’s director, Ryan Coogler, during San Diego Comic-Con 2026 where he introduced David Jonsson as the new Black Panther of the next generation.
The move comes nearly six years after the death of Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of T’Challa/Black Panther and who died in August 2020 from colon cancer.
