According to TMZ, American country music legend Dolly Parton has died of cancer at the age of 80. Her representatives said she died surrounded by her loved ones at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Before her death, Parton had secretly recorded a song called “My Place in History” in 2015. The song was kept in a special “dream box” at Dollywood, along with a CD player.
Her plan was to release the song on January 19, 2046, the day Parton would have turned 100. However, her death at the age of 80 has prevented her from fulfilling that dream.
